will be a beta for linux?
Hi,
we are currently building nomacs on weekly basis for ubuntu. The ppa is ppa:nomacs/daily , just add it and you can use the new 3.0. Since its not really possible to make a binary package for all Linux distributions we recommend to compile nomacs yourself.
Regards
After installation of the 32-bit version, I launched the program and check both file association and set default viewer. Then I go to Control Panel – Programs – Default Programs – Set Default Programs, but I cannot see the nomacs entry there.
Also, I can’t see the nomacs entry in Control Panel – Programs – Programs and Features. Had to run C:\Program Files (x86)\nomacs\maintenancetool.exe to uninstall.
By the way, I’m using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
nomacs registers as a default image viewer in the new Windows settings (Windows > Default app settings) – this window opens if you check ‘Set as Default Viewer’ in the welcome dialog.
Considering the uninstall: Windows does not always update this list instantly. After a reboot or logout, nomacs will be in this list.
Frameless mode doesn’t work and my hotkey settings won’t save. :/
Thank you for this hint! This is an error in the Beta installer. You could dir to the nomacs intsall directory (e.g. C:/Program Files (x86)/nomacs/nomacs-x64). There will be a settings.nfo file. Delete this – and your bugs will be fixed.
Worked like a charm, thank you! 🙂
