Filemanager view should have horizontal scrollbar
|Version:||2.4.4||Operating System:||Linux 64bit|
Complex directory hierarchies don't mix well with the filemanager sideview because they get cut off horizontally. And there is no scrollbar. I attached an example screenshot of what I mean. There are some files in that directory labelled DSCFxxxxx.JPG. But you cannot see which is which.
This creates sort of a conflict. Normally, you want the file browser to take up as little space as possible and leave most of the workspace for the actual image. But then you have to enlarge it to fit the directory tree.
I therefore suggest to add a horizontal scrollbar to the filemanager. Or allow the user to restrict the view to the current folder (so that there no full directory tree but only the list of files in the current directory). Or both.

the behavior is not intuitive, but you can fix this issue yourself:
right click the "name" column and choose e.g. Size
now you can resize the "name" column to whatever you like and a scrollbar will appear...
