History

nomacs already respects the system locale for time and date formats (see screenshots) - and we will not add an override

#2 Updated by Psycho_zs almost 4 years ago

Sorry, but that is not what I observe, see screenshot.
Was it fixed after 2.4.6?

#3 Updated by Markus almost 4 years ago

hmmm...
I think we already had a similar issue on linux - Stefan could you check that for 3.0?

I've upgraded to nomacs 3.0 via PPA and still see the issue. The last screenshot is still valid.

too bad - sorry (I thought/hoped for Qt5 to fix this)
@stefan could you please see if you can reproduce this issue? - thx : )

Perhaps, this could be merged with #533 and extended to overall proper handling of locale from environment. This should include proper treatment of LC_DATE.

#8 Updated by Stefan over 3 years ago

on ubuntu 15.04 i have the correct date (using German locale)

#9 Updated by Psycho_zs over 3 years ago

Did you try to reproduce using different LC_TIME as shown on screenshot?

*I meant LC_TIME in previous comment.

#10 Updated by Stefan over 3 years ago

to me it looks correct .. see screenshot

#11 Updated by Psycho_zs over 3 years ago

With en_DK it is incorrect.
'date +%x' for en_DK is YYYY-MM-DD, but nomacs shows MM/DD/YY
