File open is based on extension but does not fail on incorrect extension
|Version:||Operating System:||Linux 64bit|
If a file has the wrong file extension, but is of a recognized filetype, nomacs will open the file properly (based on the filetype) and ignore the incorrect extension. (Yay!)
This may be related to, but is not the same as, bug 734
Desired behaviour would be for Nomacs to do the same if there is no filename extension. That is, open the file based on filetype even if there is no filename extension.
In both cases there could be a notification, (missing file extension / incorrect file extension)
Bug evident on openSuSE tumbleweed, 64bit, cannot test elsewhere
